    This paper sketched the breeding procedure for Teyou 649. Its major characteristics, the key cultivation practices and the techniques for F1 seed production were also discussed. This hybrid is a newly-developed indica three-line combination (Long-Te-Fu A/Gui 649) which is characterized by high and stable yield, intermediate duration and good plant type. It was certified by Guangxi Committee for Crop Variety Registration.
