The combined process of equalization tank, coagulation tank, floeeulation tank, sludge thickener and belt filter press is used to treat sludge discharged from backwashing of bypass filter in the clean water recycle system of electric furnace and continuous casting line, from inclined plate oil removal settler in the turbid water recycle system of the continuous casting line and from inclined plate oil removal settler in the turbid water recycle system of VOD. The sludge treatment system has been running very well since September, 2007. The cake solid content is 30%.
