From the failure types and mechanism of expansive soil cutting slope, this paper discussed the failure reasons and treatment factors that should be considered of expansive soil cutting slope. And made relevant analysis on cutting slope failure problems of Nan-Kun railway and Yunnan Chu-Da expressway, proposed the thought of treatment of expansive soil cutting slope using the flexible shoring technology.
