Low modulus potassium silicate solution and silica sol were adopted to prepare the high modulus potassium silicate solution with good stability. The influences of temperature, various silane coupling agent and agitation speed on the preparation of high modulus potassium silicate were discussed. The performance of the developmental waterborne inorganic zinc rich coatings and the similar product at home and abroad was compared. The application technology of the coatings was introduced.
