The History of Japanese Haiku written by Peng EnHua is the first stylistic history book of Japanese literature in the academic history of China,with a status that cannot be ignored.Peng EnHua’s personal career is a political tragedy because of his elder sister,LinZhao＇s political tragedy.This bloody and cruel political tragedy not only brings him a depoliticized life,but also opens the way for his academic impact.The History of Japanese Haiku was written initially at the beginning of the political tragedy era and so it has also become his tool to fight against that same political tragedy.
