Based on the requirements for the installation and the operation of the series reactor,this essay introduces the establishment of a circuit model,the theoretical analysis and the simulative calculation for the transient process of the switching of 10kV shunt capacitor banks,and presents relevant theories about breaker failures,over-current and over-voltage in switching.
