Chromatin immunoprecipitation(ChIP)is an effective technique to analyze the interactions of DNA binding proteins with the genome in vivo.ChIP coupled with high density microarray(cMP-chip)or high-throughput sequencing (CHIP-Seq)has generated large amount of data and expected to allow the development of a network describing the cellular transcriptional regulation.Here,we reviewed the CHIP,CMP-chip,and ChIP-Seq techniques as well as their perspectives.Focus is given to data analysis of ChIP-Seq and the applications of ChiP-chip and ChIP-Seq.
