Internet是一个拥有众多网络协议的动态复杂系统.利用协议的通信机制传输数据时,信息往返于本地及远程节点间的时间是非零的.通过重复地发送和接收数据,可以使得信息在网络上保持一定的时间,从而形成一种全新的存储模式--寄生存储.不同于传统的存储模式,寄生存储无需添加额外的存储设施,在宿主非感知情况下利用其现有资源,实现大容量信息存储.根据复杂网络的特点,设计和实现了一个基于ICMP协议的新型网络存储系统.它采用高可扩展的体系结构,充分利用网络中的可用资源,构建大容量、免费、短期的存储系统.

The Internet is a dynamic complex system with many kinds of network protocols.While data packets transfer over the network through the communication mechanisms of these protocols,the time taken for each message sent and echoed between local and remote nodes is nonzero.So by sending and receiving data repeatedly,one can make data sustain on the network for a period of time and thus form a novel storage mode-parasitic storage.Unlike traditional storage,parasitic storage needs no additional storage facilities.It just makes use of the existing resources to achieve high-capacity data storage without being sensed by the host.According to the characteristics of complex network,a novel networking storage model has been designed and implemented based on the protocol ICMP.Through a highly scalable architecture,parasitic storage fully utilizes the available resources to build a free of cost,large space and short-term data storage.
