In this paper, a developing technique and procedure of a sort of geological software, in which the Object- Oriented method of software development is applied, is introduced. A conclusion that the application of the OO method can ease the development of software as well as enhance the quality of software,shorten the time period of developing software as well as facilitate the reusability of software has been drawn out. Some constructive suggestions on how to efficiently make use of the OO technique in developing computer software have been offered.
