A study has been done on
the accuracy and reliability of fractal dimensions determined through
slit island methods by employing Koch curves. The effects of various constructing
factors such as initial size length, shape and looping level on the fractal
dimension determination have been investigated. Asa result it is proposed
that the slit island methods should not be used in the fractal dimension
determination at nanometer scale
