The advantages of piano include： a broad range of music, a stentorian sound, a flexible tune, a special structure, plentiful timbers and a clear treble,a full alto and a powerful bass. In addition, it＇s timber and playing method are variable which could express different music moods. However, piano playing is restricted by such factors as music rules, music intonations and the continuity of musical pitch. Furthermore,its bass zone and musical gamut are rather neutral and the timder can not be fully displayed as well as lacks remarkable features in playing. A complete understanding of piano playing could not only enable us to fully appreciate piano＇s unique advantages but also in practice, help us overcome the above-mentioned disadvantages effectively.
