p73 gene and p51 gene are new members of the tumor suppressor gene p53 family. Studies have shown that the abnormality of p73 gene and p51 gene has relation with many tumor development. The abnormality expression of p73 gene and p51 gene can reach averagely 60 percent in some digestive system carcinoma. Further study may be helpful to recognize carcinoma nature and bring a new target for tumor gene therapy.
