大巴山位于重庆与陕西交界的崇山峻岭中，拟建的地质公园在其南部城口县境内，这里不仅地质遗迹，类型全、数量多、品位高，也是红色的沃土“中华苏维埃共和国”的第二大根据地。一直藏在深山人未识。经过初步调查评价，这里已经具备了建设地质公园的各种条件。建设大巴山地质公园应列入城口县和重庆市的“十二五”规划．并启动建设，以满足大众与日俱增的需求。
대파산위우중경여협서교계적숭산준령중，의건적지질공완재기남부성구현경내，저리불부지질유적，류형전、수량다、품위고，야시홍색적옥토“중화소유애공화국”적제이대근거지。일직장재심산인미식。경과초보조사평개，저리이경구비료건설지질공완적각충조건。건설대파산지질공완응렬입성구현화중경시적“십이오”규화．병계동건설，이만족대음여일구증적수구。
Dabashan is located in the towering mountains and high ridges bordering Chongqing and Shaanxi. The geopark which has been planned to build is within the county of Chengkou. With multi-typed, numerous and high-quality characteristics, the geo- graphic relics is also the second base of the red fertile soil, ＂Soviet Republic of China＂. But deep in mountains, it has been unknown to people. Through the preliminary investigation and evaluation, it has already had all conditions for being built into a geopark. Therefore, the project of constructing the Dabashan Geopark should be included in the ＂Twelfth Five-year Program＂ of Chengkou and Chongqing and the construction should begin as soon as possible so as to meet the people＇s increasing needs for culture and tourism.
