microRNA( miRNA)是一种长度约22 nt的非编码单链小分子RNA,通过与mRNA互补结合,降解靶mRNA或阻止其翻译.miRNA作为一种调控因子,在细胞的分化、增殖和凋亡中起重要作用,其突变、缺失或表达水平的异常与人类肿瘤发生、发展密切相关.甲状腺肿瘤起源于甲状腺滤泡上皮细胞或甲状腺滤泡旁细胞,是内分泌系统最常见的恶性肿瘤.miRNA在甲状腺肿瘤的发生中起重要的调控作用,提示其将为甲状腺肿瘤的诊断和治疗带来新的机遇.

MicroRNAs(miRNAs) are single-stranded non-coding RNAs molecules of approximately 22 nucleotides.miRNAs pair with mRNAs carrying a complementary sequence and act by increasing the degradation of target mRNAs or blocking the translation.MiRNAs as regulatory RNAs are involved in cell differentiation,proliferation and apoptosis.The mutation,depletion or dysfunction of miRNAs is closely associated with occurrence and progression of human tumors.Thyroid tumor is one of the most frequent malignancies of the endocrine system that derive from the thyroid follicular epithelium cell or thyroid parafollicular cell.Some advances in the relationship between miRNAs and thyroid tumor have been achieved.The significant roles of miRNAs in tumorigenesis indicate that they may provide novel opportunities for diagnosis and treatment of thyroid tumor in the future.
