Because of wind power prediction technology which plays a key role in dealing with large-scale wind power integration, this paper summarizes the research status of wind power prediction technology both at home and abroad and presents an in-depth introduction of a variety of methods-including the physical method, statistical method and composite method- which are related with the wind power prediction technology. The paper also analyzes the indexes used for the model's error evaluation and gives a brief presentation of the wind power prediction technology platforms which have been world-widely deployed. The development tendency of wind power prediction technology is appraised in the end.
