基于长治—南阳—荆门特高压交流试验示范工程扩建工程,利用电磁暂态程序(EMTP),研究了区外和区内故障时,1000 kV特高压串补关键元件工作条件。研究首次提出:采用金属氧化物限压器(metal oxide varistor ,MOV)-并联间隙组合作为特高压串补的过电压保护措施;区外故障时仅由MOV限制电容器的过电压,间隙不动作;区内故障时,火花间隙及旁路开关可以动作,从而将电容器和MOV旁路;特高压串补过电压保护水平为2.3 pu;长南I线和南荆I线串补MOV的最大能耗水平分别为57 MJ/相和45 MJ/相;采用“电抗器+MOV 串电阻”型阻尼回路作为串补电容器的放电阻尼装置,电容器放电回路的自振频率约为300 Hz;短路期间,特高压串补火花间隙和旁路开关最大放电电流为153 kA。

Based on the extension project of 1 000 kV AC power transmission demonstration project from Changzhi via Nanyang to Jingmen and utilizing electromagnetic transients program (EMTP) the working conditions of key components for fixed series compensation in 1 000 kV UHVAC power transmission under internal faults, namely the faults occurred between the circuit breakers at both sides of the line where the series compensation locates, and the external fault, namely all faults except internal faults, are researched. It is first proposed to use the combination of metal oxide varistor (MOV) with parallel gap as the overvoltage protection measure for UHVAC fixed series compensation: during the external fault the overvoltage is only suppressed by MOV while the parallel gap does not act;during the internal fault the spark gap and by-pass switch act, thus the capacitor and MOV are bypassed. The overvoltage protection level for UHVAC series compensation is 2.3 pu; the maximum energy dissipation level of the MOV for the series compensation of No. 1 transmission line from Changzhi to Nanyang and that for the series compensation of No. 1 transmission line from Nanyang to Jingmen are 57 MJ per phase and 45 MJ per phase respectively; the damping circuit composed of reactor and MOV with resistance connected in series is used as the discharging damper for the series compensation capacitor and the natural vibration frequency of capacitor discharging circuit is about 300 Hz;during short-circuit fault the maximum discharging current of spark gap for UHVAC series compensation and bypass switch is 153 kA.
