The oral language tests of iBT TOEFL and PhonePassTM SET are two important computer-assisted oral language tests which share different theoretical models, task characteristics and scoring criteria. The difference in test purpose, test takers and scoring method lead to different test tasks. Compared with traditional oral language tests, computer-assisted oral language tests have their own advantages and disadvantages.
