　　Orexin是一种大脑内广泛存在的神经肽类物质，最新的研究发现这种最初被称为食欲素的物质能够改变生物的内生睡眠稳态系统，且对其有着不可或缺的作用。有研究表明，Orexin在睡眠与觉醒这两种行为中似乎扮演了不同的角色，提示睡眠与觉醒可能并不是两个完全可逆的过程。本文将对Orexin系统在觉醒通路中作用的研究进展进行综述。

Orexin is a kind of neuropeptide substance widely existing in the brain, the newest study finds which originally called orexin material can change and play an important role in the biological endogenous sleep homeostasis system. Some research has shown that Orexin seems to play a dif-ferent role in sleep and wakefulness, these two kinds of behaviors, which suggests that sleep and wakefulness may not be two kinds of completely re-versible process. This paper summarizes the study progress of effects in Orexin system within the awakening pathway.
