利用元分析方法，对1995～2011年发表在18种国内外核心期刊和会议文集上的202篇道路交通统计生命价值论文进行综合分析，从研究主题、参考学科、研究方法和分析层次4个维度揭示了道路交通统计生命价值的研究特征，并在此基础上总结了其研究成果，为完善其学科结构和把握其研究方向提供了参考依据。

202 papers about the value of a statistical life (VOSL ) in road traffic published in 18 domestic and international core journals and conference proceedings from 1995 to 2011 are analyzed based on meta-analysis from four aspects ,including research topics ,reference disciplines ,research methods and analysis levels .The research characteristics of VOSL in road traffic are revealed and the research achievements are summarized ,w hich provide a reference for improving the academic structure and seizing the research direction .
