Chlor ophyll fl uorescence kinetics played a crucial role in photosynthesis research, such as energy dispersion between two Photosystems, fluorescence quenching analysis and environmental stresses studies. In this paper, the basic principle and significance of main chlorophyll fluorescence kinetic were discussed. The application of chlorophyll fluorescence kinetics in tropical crops research was reviewed.
