教授工作室是近年来依托于我国现有的农业推广体系，由上海交通大学与上海各区县农委探索和合作建立一种新型的农技推广平台，其与现有的农业推广机构进行横向交叉，形成路网式农业推广新体系。作为一种新型的嵌入式农技推广平台，教授工作室与农业推广部门、农户和农业企业共同实现了高校科研成果转化、农技培训的无缝对接，为农民增收和科研经费的增加都做出了重要贡献，同时也发挥了区县政府的智囊团作用，为制定农业科技政策和农业发展规划、新农村建设规划等提供了理论依据和政策建议。

Professor workroom is a new type of extension mode and has developed for many years by institutes of new rural development , Shanghai Jiaotong University .All professor workrooms depend on China's agricultural technology extension system and they are established by Shanghai Jiaotong University with the district committee on agriculture in Shanghai , which is embedded in the national agricultural technology extension departments for the horizontal cross that is similar to highway network type .As a new embedded extension mode , professor workroom makes the scientific research achievements transform seamless to the departments of agricultural technology extension , the farmers family and the agricultural enterpri-ses.At the same time, professor workroom offers theoretical basis and policy suggestion to the district government for the policy of agricultural science and technology , agricultural development planning , new rural construction and planning and so on.
