The paper applies supply chain thinking to the field of offshore manufacturing , and builds the assembly type of marine engineering equipment supply chain to promote its development and growth .Choosing the best suitable partners is critical to the success of the supply chain .Adaptive genetic algorithm makes use of the principles of natural evolution . Based on the analog nature evolutionary principle of survival of the fittest , the right enterprises are chosen for cooperation to promote the overall sustained and healthy development of the supply chain .Finally an empirical analysis is made based on a case study .
