篮球运动起源于19世纪90年代，近百年来篮球运动经历了初创、完善与推广以及普及和创新等，得到了更多的发展机会。如今，人类社会已经进入了IT（Information Technology--信息技术）时代，人们对于信息的管理以及处理也已经出现了改革，IT技术用于篮球运功中是必然的趋势。本文主要针对信息技术背景下篮球空气阻力的计算展开研究和分析。
