随着多媒体的发展，科技与艺术结合得更为紧密。因此无论在技术还是美学要求都使得我们的教学要适应整个社会发展。理科类学院系部开始招收设计类学生，以完善美学的要求提供各种技术为基准，作为发展学生的要求。以计算机系部为例，增设了多媒体专业，学生既可以学习计算机技术的知识，同时也需要有一定的美术基础，审美情趣。而两者兼顾的课程是发展的重心也是问题的来源。帮助学生定位角色，学习科学技术知识，提升审美情趣是教师在课程教学中的一大难题。特别是在艺术课程的编排和教学上，技术和观念上都要求老师做出大范围的调整，这是机遇越是挑战。
