清代，因统治者经营边疆、开放矿禁及铸币所需，促进了贵州六盘水境内大规模的矿业开采，其发达程度为历代所不能比拟，矿业开发极大推动了该地区人口增长和社会发展，但因课税沉重，开采过度，咸同战乱等原因，清末，六盘水境内矿业逐渐凋敝。
청대，인통치자경영변강、개방광금급주폐소수，촉진료귀주륙반수경내대규모적광업개채，기발체정도위역대소불능비의，광업개발겁대추동료해지구인구증장화사회발전，단인과세침중，개채과도，함동전란등원인，청말，륙반수경내광업축점조폐。
During the Qing dynasty, because rulers had a need to run the frontier, open mine banned and coin the money, they promoted the large-scale mining exploitation in Liupanshui of Guizhou. Mining development greatly promoted the population growth and social development in the region. However,because of the heavy tax, overexploitation and war, at the end of the Qing dynasty, the mining fell into decline in Liupanshui.
