先秦作为中国历史发展的重要时期，思想丰富，文化上是百家争鸣。思想文化的繁荣不仅对人们的生活产生了一定影响，同时也对与人们生活息息相关的建筑艺术的发展产生了重要的影响，而作为建筑重要部件的斗拱也被赋予了新的内涵，它不仅仅作为建筑的部件存在，更重要的是它本身所折射出的意蕴，无疑斗拱成为了解先秦文化的又一个重要窗口。
