Layer 3 switching technology is important and difficult in the field of experiment teaching of computer science major. It is the goal of experiment teaching to master the layer 3 switching and use it to solve the real-world problems. This comprehensive experiment in which the tech-nologies of virtual local area network, layer 3 switching, subnetting and static routing arranged together are based on teaching schedule of theory and serve as a link between past and future study. It can be used to check the learning outcomes of students and stimulate their desire to develop the autonomous learning ability. The experiment has achieved to good results in teach-ing methods and teaching effectiveness.
