狂犬病是由狂犬病病毒感染所致的急性传染病，临床因恐水症状明显，本病又名恐水症。本病是急性传染病，死亡率近100%，正确的诊断不仅可减轻患者的痛苦，还可减少患者家庭的经济损失。但由于狂犬病早期症状的复杂多样，患者及家属医学知识水平不高及医务人员本身的原因均可导致该病的误诊。
