“三农问题”始终摆在农村发展的重要位置。目前正是农村经济发展的关键时刻，农民的身体是这场革命的本钱。农村经济的提高水平与发展速度和农民身体状况有着密不可分的关系，我国的农村社会主义物质文明、精神文明和政治文明建设离不开每一位农民的参与，农村各项工作开展都离不开农民健康的体魄。但是目前，我国在农民健康和农村体育方面的发展现状还比较落后，建设社会主义新农村，农村体育和农民健康是首先要解决的问题。农民的身体状况提高了，农村经济才称得上是加速发展起来。
