扩展蛋白（expansins）是植物细胞壁中特有的一类蛋白，在植物体内的作用是缓释细胞壁结构网中的张力，使细胞壁变得松弛，在果实的生长发育、株节间生长中起着极为重要的作用，是一个庞大的基因家族。主要介绍了番茄和马铃薯中扩展蛋白的研究进展及扩展蛋白在植物抗逆中的功能，并指出将来马铃薯和番茄扩展蛋白的研究方向。

Expansins was a special group proteins of plant cell wall and a large genes family which basic action was relaxing the stress of the matrix to loose the cell wal1,which also played an important role in fruit and internode growing.The expansins research progress of tomato and potato and physiological function in plant resistance was introduced and a new way for the expansins research of tomato and potato in the future was pointed out.
