The environmental radiation monitoring results by our country and Japan were summarized .By analysing the problems in the emergency monitoring radiation in China , some suggestions and methods were pro-vided, such as updating the radiation environmental monitoring network , strengthening the construction of radia-tion monitoring station and targeted capacity-building of radiation environmental monitoring , scientificly standard-izing emergency preplan , developing rapid monitoring technology and strengthening the quality management sys -tem of the whole process of radiation monitoring .
