This paper introduces the overall design concept, structural construction, construction technology and technical key points of the steel casing for the main tower piers of the bridge. The main structure of the steel casing has dual-use inte-grated,both as the temporary water retaining structure and the formwork for the tower piers and also the permanent structure against ship collision when the bridge is operational to protect the foundation of the main towers.
