Ammonia nitrogen removal from wastewater through struvite formation is an effective method. It is easy to oper-ate and fast response. In this paper, the characteristics and the formation mechanism were introduced, the influence factors of struvite and the progress were also summarized. The existing problems are analyzed as well. Finally, the future researches on this reaction were proposed .
