通过在工程中的应用对三维设计与管理软件PDMS与 PDSOFT 在项目管理与数据库规划、区域定位与管系生成、建模查看与调整、出图与汇料等方面进行比较，结果显示，二者均可利用原有库生成新库，均可以正向或反向插入元件或管线；PDM S软件的项目管理模式较为先进，可进行协同设计，且有独特的实时碰撞检查功能，还可将复杂管线自动分图后生成单线图；建模时PDMS软件在元件对齐和旋转调整操作的优点明显，而PDSOFT 软件在管线斜接、删除多个元件时非常方便；二者汇料的准确性均与数据库的建立有关。

PDMS and PDSOFT are both plant design management systems .According to the ap-plication of them in some projects ,the comparision were made for two software about item man-agement and database programming ,area orientation and pipe building ,modeling examination and adjustment , draft creation and material collection . The similarities and differences were found out ,such as :they can build database using former database ,they can build unit forward or backward ;management mode of PDMS is more advanced than PDSOFT ;design of PDMS is of co-design;real-time impinging check is a specific function of PDMS ;PDMS can divide complicat-ed pipe into some drafts automatically ;during modeling ,PDMS has advantage at unit alignment and revolution ,PDSOFT is convenient at pipe inclined joint and multiple units deletion ;accuracy of material collection depends on database building .
