武烈河12道橡胶坝建设中采取堵头式无搭接彩色橡胶坝；坝和基座采取楔块式锚固方式；基座采取了深浅槽设计；计算机控制坝内压力，实现了自动化管理。但由于武烈河上游土壤侵蚀较严重，每年发生季节性洪水，造成河道淤积，需要采取多种措施加强对橡胶坝的保护。
