Gas mode of the ventilator is one of the important parameters about medical ventilator quality control (QC). It contains gas type, gas temperature, ambient temperature and gas mode. Gas mode is one parameter which directly affects the correction of the QC. Two types of ventilators named NPB840 and Servo-I were detected with different settings. The experiment found that the display value had the error more than 35% and 15% in extreme “gas type” setting and “correction mode” setting, which beyond the national standard. This paper studied gas mode systematacially, and offered some settings of normal ventilators to promote the QC efifciency for the QC staff in the hospital.
