This paper elaborated the price risks of present iron-steel market home and abroad, analyzed the loss problems because of price fluctuation of steel, and then discussed the feasibility and necessity of large stated iron & steel companies taking hedge in the futures market. With two iron & steel companies as the case, this paper proved how to reduce the price risks, decrease loss, and keep stable profit through the futures market for the companies.
