本文通过结合当前汽车行业人才需求的特点和重庆理工大学车辆工程专业人才培养的目标，分析了现阶段车辆工程专业本科生毕业设计中存在的问题，提出了一种按年级分阶段、循序渐进开展项目设计来取代传统毕业设计的创新模式，并讨论了具体实践措施和改革内容，就如何提高毕业设计水平和构建教学新体系进行了十分有益的探讨和探索。

Based on the feature of personnel demand in automotive industry and the aim of talent training in automotive en-gineering college of Chongqing university of technology, the problem of graduation design of undergraduates in automotive engineering was analyzed. A new mode which focused on project design according to students' grade at college was proposed to replace the present graduation design. And the specific details of the reform were discussed in order to improve the quality of graduation design and establish a new teaching system.
