In order to help the local small and medium-sized enterprises in Taicang to transform and upgrade themselves and to apply technological achievements to production, and to help promote teaching and educational reforms and qualities,Chien-shiung Institute of Technology,guided and instructed by the local government and industrial associations,invested to establish the Sophisticated Machinery Industry Base with enterprises' active participation. This base has achieved satisfactory results in serving the community,promoting the faculty and training technical talents.
