Firstly ,the parametric design of the tooth of a helical gear was carried out ,then the three-dimensional model of the gear was set up by ANSYS ,and the finite element analysis of the gear under conditions of constraint and loads was made ,the stress of the helical gear in the load case was calculated .This work may provide scientific basis for gear design .
