In the designing process of ceremonial dress, the pointcut of design idea may vary due to different design targets. Sometimes, there is only one pointcut and sometimes many. It is necessary to select the pointcuts that can best express the design target. The article discussed the designing of ceremonial dress from the pointcuts of style, sentiment, theme, color, molding, materials, decorative patterns, etc.
