The principle of small current grounding system and the hazard of single-phase grounding were outlined. The phenomenon of single phase grounding was analyzed, the methods to determine fault and the ways to eliminate single-phase ground fault were put forward. The problems that should be paid attention during eliminating fault were also analyzed to ensure smooth, safe and reliable running of the electric power system.
