阅读已然成为我们生存在现代社会个人所必须掌握的一项最基本的重要技能，培养中学生的阅读理解能力已经成为我国中学英语教学的重要目标之一。本文将结合自身多年中学英语教学的实践经验来探究中学英语阅读教学中存在的障碍及其原因，进而在此基础上提出相应的解决对策，以便可以更好地提高学生的英语阅读理解能力。

Reading has become one of the most important skills we must grasp for the survival in the modern society, and the cul-tivation of middle school students' ability of reading comprehen-sion has become an important objective of middle school English teaching in China. Combined with the writer's years of middle school English teaching experience, this paper will explore the obstacles existing in middle school English reading teaching and the causes, and then propose corresponding countermeasures, with the aim of better improving students' ability of English read-ing comprehension.
