语文教学长期以来一直被当做一门基础性课程，课程主要培养学生的听、说、读、写等语言文字能力，语文教学的工具性占据主导地位。在大力提倡并发展素质教育的今天，如何利用语文教学促进并提高学生综合素质及能力是我们当前语文教学改革的一项重要内容，本文就如何通过语文教学来培养学生的能力这一研究方向，为学生的语文教育提供一些新的思考。

Chinese language teaching has long been viewed as a foundation course which mainly cultivates students' language a-bilities such as listening, speaking, reading and writing, etc., so it mainly plays the role as a tool. In today's vigorous promotion and development of quality-oriented education, how to use Chinese language teaching to improve students' comprehensive quality and ability is an important content for the current Chinese lan-guage teaching reform. Based on the research direction of culti-vating students' abilities through Chinese language teaching, this paper proposed some new thinking on Chinese language educa-tion.
