The composition of a new generation of serial-parallel machine tool LINKS-EXE700 was introduced. The nature of the degrees of freedom of parallel mechanism Tripod,the body mechanism of the machine tool,was studied. Inverse position of the ma-chine tools serial-parallel mechanism was investigated. Analysis results have very important role in guiding of in-depth understanding of the working principle of the new generation of serial-parallel machine tools and its kinematic control.
