商周之际社会变革的原因是多样的。首先，商朝神权政治的内部结构存在不稳定性。另外，商王权势的日渐独立和强盛，导致与贞人集团的矛盾加深。这些原因使得神权政治存在改良的需要。武王伐纣的胜利则直接摧毁了完全以神权和刑法进行统治的商朝。我们从殷商之际社会变革的内容来看，利用礼法进行制度建设正是神权政治改良的方向。面对礼法政治的构建这个历史命题，相对稳定的政治形势是必要条件，更重要的是文武德政已经为政治理念更新做出了准备。

The causes of social changes in Shang and Zhou dynasties are diverse. First of all, the internal structure of Shang Dynasty theocracy exists instability. In addition, the king of Shang power becomes increasingly independent and powerful, leading to deep contradiction with Zhen people group, which makes theocracy need to be improved. King Wu’s conquest against Zhou destroys completely the Shang Dynasty governed by divine right and criminal law. Judging by the content of the social change, the building of the system of etiquette is the theocracy improvement direction. In the face of etiquette, legal and politics construction, a relatively stable political situation is necessary. More importantly, benevolent rule has made preparations for the political idea renewal.
