In view of the present worsening soil and water erosion situation in China, this article expounds on the hazards caused by soil and water erosion and its characteristics. The author makes analysis on the main causes of soil and water erosion, and puts forward effec-tive measures to prevent it in a bid to control the worsening soil and water erosion situation, to promote soil and water conservation, to improve the ecological environment, and to realize agricultural sustainable development.
