Converting written text through character recognition technology into text ,and then the design send the text into speech syn-thesizer through coding .The design solves reading problems for the elderly and blind people .Sounding device is portable ,and it uses DSP controlling and has the advantages of simple circuit ,high reliability .Recognition core algorithm of Chinese characters is simulated through the computer ;the recognition rate is high and processing is efficient .The machine verifies the feasibility of the prototype .
