Industrial wastewater has large discharge amount, and is difficult to be treated. Using biological method to treat industrial wastewater has the advantages of stabilized treatment effect, wide application range, low operation cost, large treatment capacity. In this paper, research progress in the biological method for treating sulfur-containing wastewater, papermaking wastewater, tannery wastewater, organic wastewater and printing and dyeing wastewater were introduced. And some suggestions on the development of the biological method in the future were put forward.
