闪烁晶体是核辐射探测器中的重要材料,具有密度大、光输出高、均匀性好以及衰减快等优点,广泛应用在医疗卫生、安全检查、高能物理、油矿勘探等领域。同一闪烁晶体经常表现出较大的性能差异,人们通常将其归因于晶体制备工艺的差异,而容易忽略晶体各向异性对晶体性能的影响。随着PbWO4、Lu2 Si2 O7:Ce、LaBr3:Ce和LaCl3:Ce等非立方相晶体的出现,闪烁晶体的各向异性效应越来越受到重视。论文综述了闪烁晶体的各向异性研究,分析了闪烁晶体的各向异性效应对晶体应用的影响。

Scintillation crystals are important materials of nuclear radiation detector , which has some attractive scintillation properties , such as large density , high light output , good uniformity and fast decay .They are wide-ly used in medical and health care , security , high energy physics , oil exploration and other fields .They fre-quently show some property differences for the same scintillation crystal .People are usually attributed these to the differences of crystal growth process and are easy to ignore the crystal anisotropy effects on crystal proper -ties.With the development of non -cubic phase crystals , such as PbWO4 , Lu2 Si2 O7: Ce, LaBr3: Ce and LaCl3:Ce crystal, people are paying more and more attention to the anisotropy effects of scintillation crystals . The study of the anisotropy effects of scintillation crystals are reviewed in this paper .And the impact of the ani-sotropy effects on crystal applications is analyzed .
